  • A vocational-technical division was added in 1960.
  • A significant development in 1989 was the establishment of a University Center.
  • Between 1989 and 2002, 1,788 students graduated with bachelor's degrees through the University Center.
  • The name of the college was changed yet again in February 1998 to Westark College.
